Slouchly

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 25, 2026

Slouchly keeps your personal information on your iPhone. There are no accounts, ads or tracking, and we never sell your data. The only thing we collect is anonymous usage data to improve the app, and you can turn that off.

This policy explains what the Slouchly iPhone app (“Slouchly”) does with your information. Slouchly is made by Studio Killswitch LLC (“we”, “us”) in San Francisco.

What Slouchly stores on your iPhone

To build and run your plan, Slouchly saves the following in its private storage on your device:

  • Your onboarding answers: the posture issues you picked and your answer to the pain and injury question.
  • Your plan settings: sessions per day, reminder times and other preferences.
  • Your progress: sessions and exercises done, streaks, streak freezes and badges.
  • Your pain and stiffness check-ins: the neck and back ratings you enter.
  • Exercises you swapped for others.
  • Progress photos you take or choose.

Your pain answers, check-in ratings and photos are never sent to us or to anyone else. They can be sensitive health information, so we built Slouchly to keep them on your device only. The rest stays on your device too, apart from the anonymous usage data described below.

If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, iOS includes Slouchly’s data in those backups. Apple handles backups under its own privacy policy and your backup settings.

Camera and photos

Slouchly asks for camera access only when you take a progress photo. If you choose a photo from your library instead, the iOS photo picker gives Slouchly only the photo you pick, not the rest of your library. Progress photos are saved in Slouchly’s private storage, protected by iOS file encryption while your phone is locked, and never uploaded.

Notifications

Session reminders, missed-session alerts, hold timer sounds and the free trial reminder are all scheduled on your iPhone. No notification server is involved.

Purchases

Apple processes all payments. We never see your name, email address or payment details. Apple tells Slouchly whether you have an active subscription or Plan Pass so the app can unlock.

Slouchly may also use RevenueCat, a subscription service, to check your purchase status. When it does, RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID created by the app, your Slouchly purchase history, and basic device details such as your iOS version and App Store country. It does not receive your progress, check-ins or photos. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Anonymous usage data

To see which parts of the app help people and where they get stuck, Slouchly sends anonymous usage events to PostHog, an analytics service. These record things like which onboarding screens you reached, which posture areas you chose, how many sessions a day you picked, when you start a purchase or finish a session, and basic device details such as your iOS version. Each install gets a random ID that isn’t linked to your name, email or Apple Account.

Usage events never include your pain answers, check-in ratings, photos or anything you type. We don’t record your screen, and we don’t use this data for advertising or share it with advertisers. If you subscribe, RevenueCat is given the same random ID so we can see which purchases came from which version of the app.

You can stop sending usage data at any time with Settings → Share anonymous usage data in the app. See PostHog’s privacy policy.

Crash reports

If Slouchly crashes, it saves a technical report and sends it to PostHog the next time you open the app, with the same random ID. A crash report shows where in Slouchly’s code the crash happened, plus your device model and iOS version. It doesn’t include your progress, photos or anything you’ve entered. Turning off Share anonymous usage data stops crash reports too.

Feedback you send

If you use Settings → Send feedback, the note you type is sent to PostHog along with your app and iOS versions and the same random ID, so we can read it. It’s sent only when you tap Send, even if you’ve turned off usage data. It isn’t linked to your name or email, so we can’t reply. Please don’t include personal or health details you don’t want us to see.

Children

Slouchly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your data

  • Delete a single progress photo from its detail view in the Progress tab.
  • Erase everything Slouchly has stored with Settings → Reset everything in the app.
  • Deleting the app removes all of its data from your iPhone.

Your plan, check-ins and photos never reach us, so there is nothing of that for us to access or delete. To have your anonymous usage data or RevenueCat purchase record deleted, email us and we’ll ask PostHog and RevenueCat to delete everything for your random ID. For payment records, contact Apple.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Slouchly handles your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
